USC Kortschak Center For Learning and Creativity

De’Von Patterson, Ph.D., NCSP

Post-Doctoral Fellow

Here at KCLC, I serve as one of the Post-Doctoral Fellows in the office. I work with students on establishing and altering habits that are necessary for academic success.  The Kortschak Center for Learning & Creativity assists a diverse student population; for this reason, I may help students diagnosed with disabilities understand their strengths and the nature of their needs.  I also work with students who have difficulty adjusting to the new academic and social demands of college living – whether it be specifically tied to their study habits or learning how to adjust to a new culture.  I also conduct psychoeducational assessments for students who suspect that their challenges with learning may be due to an underlying disability
